In my opinion the course we, as a nation should take, is an orderly
withdrawal from ALL international deployments and trade agreements and
let the rest of the world burn. That is unlikely to happen, so my next
best option militarily is to increase the size of the force if necessary
by allowing Category 3 and 4 volunteers to enter the service. Places
can be found. It doesn't take a genius to carry a rifle out of the back
of a Bradley.

As for Iran and Korea, let the diplomats work for now. We tried for 12
years in Iraq before we invaded again. Korea has only been a few years
and Iran 1 year.

You seem to be advocating we up our troop strengths to the 2 1/2 war
criteria of Reagan. If we go to war again, we need to deploy troops
from Korea, Germany and CONUS. If it goes nuclear, we always have the
Minuteman.

So you're saying it's a good strategy to have a fully committed
military? You feel that preparing for the unexpected is a waste of
resources?

Further, you'd say that there is very little chance that Iran or North
Korea will choose war over diplomacy?
