I just did the walk from the hotel down through the French Q to Bourbon, over to Canal and back to the hotel. Not a bad walk at all, although it is a little muggy right now. The funny thing is that you can take a big chunk of the walk right through the air conditioned Harrah's casino just outside the hotel. It get you all the way to Canal. Man that place is huge. Not being a gambler, I can't understand how all those folks are so completely sucked in, sitting there staring at those slot screens. But hey, I used to stay up all night playing Tribes Online, so what do I know? Speaking of online gaming, there is another show going on here at the hotel, the Everquest Fan Faire.
