[Sorry - list messages didn't come through for me today.]

First off I honestly (really) didn't ever mean to intimate that you, Sam were
"simple". I wrote the message after 3am and may have misspoke - there was truly
nothing personal in there. I apologize if it seemed like a shot.

I truly don't believe that Bush supporters are any less intelligent than Kerry
supporters (although I agree with George Carlin who said "think of stupid the average
fucker is then remember that half of them are dumber than that!")

I do however agree with several pundits that claim that the Republicans are,
generally, the party of "heart" and the Democrats are, generally, the party of "mind".
I'm not making a statement as to which is better or worse (in fact it annoys me to no
end that we've polarized so much since I'm selfish and I want the best of both), but
that's the way I see much of the material coming out.

My point in writing the post was simply to try to balance the fact that I find myself,
at least here, defending Kerry more often than Bush and I wanted to try to clarify my
position. I've selected Kerry as my candidate (I'm an independent and have never
voted along party lines) so I will defend him.

But, at the same time I'll happily defend Bush from misinformation. As bad as I think
Bush is for the country his impact is nothing compared to lack of education, rampant
misinformation and a horrifying lack of critical thinking. That's the true crisis
facing America (and the world at large).

I also promise (if anybody cares) that when Kerry screws up I'll be a vocal critic.

As far as Spinsanity.com goes it's your perogative to belive what you will, but the
site is quite non-partisan. Looking at the topics you can see well over 30 refuted
"Attacks on President George W. Bush" but less than 10 refuted attacks on Kerry for
example.

The site is quite balanced as I read it. I do place a lot of stock in their
evaluations. I've yet to see a cleaner, more balanced bullshit filter.
