Okay, I posted this earlier this morning in CF Talk but haven't gotten anyone to nibble on it for suggestions. Anyone here have any ideas?
Thanks! Hatton ---------- Forwarded message ---------- I'm working out the logistics of moving a site to a new server and need some advice. The current server is going to stay active and has a MS Access datasource (outside of my control) that my application reads from. I need to be able to replicate this data into a MySQL database on a scheduled basis since my application will no longer be on the server that holds the Access database. My thought is to create a page on the "old" server that can dump out the data I need in some format - need suggestions on this first. Then I can create a scheduled task on the new server to make a HTTP call to the dump page to grab the data. Since the data in question is date driven the "pickup" page would pass a date field for start and a date field for end. I think I have the concept correct - MX is installed so could I do this as a web service, and if so could someone point me to a tutorial? This doesn't need to be rocket science, I only have two days to implement this change but I can "tweak it" later.
