Hello Hello, The age old question...well at least age old in terms of computer technology. I use CF for basic reporting needs. So basic in fact that I haven't used MX yet. I heard it was great but I don't have the need for it. I do however, use a lot of VB.net and JAVA.
I'm at that point where I need a mastery over one language instead of control over 2. So the question is Java or C#.net? As a little side note, I work for a financial company. I intend to work for a financial institution until I retire. Most banks still use C++ but I think this is going to change. Anyone have any info on this? Side Question: Is C++ still in the picture? I haven't done anything in C++ since my college labs. Still has a place in real-time manufacturing? -- 2004 - The year $184M couldn't buy a pennant. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:134207 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
