This is a great point. I have watched both Falwell and Robertson. In my
opinion the ONLY reason a woman is on Robertson's show is to draw the female
crowd. They use fear of death and the afterlife to scare people into sending
in money, especially elderly people. It is a family business, Roberson's son
is moving right into the CEO position in dad's footsteps. Same old rhetoric,
same old story. I would love to know how much money those guys make.

I find it fascinating that people can draw so many greatly different
conclusions about what the Bible really means (if anything). That is the
beauty of a document written in a circular fashion. Like a Nostrodamus
prediction. You can interpret it to mean what YOU, the reader, (or ruler)
want it to mean. It seems to me to be full of metaphors and eponyms, like
Samson and Delilah, Sodom and Gomorrah, David and Goliath, etc. (old
Testament) or Revelations (new Testament). It seems strange that you get to
kind of pick what you want to believe in. Let's see, I don't want to follow
the Old Testament, that does not fit for me, I don't want an eye for eye
today. Maybe I will try the New Testament, turn the other cheek. Oops, those
damn Taliban, now let's get that Old Testament back out and kick some ass.
(btw, anyone know where the word testament comes from? Look it up,
interesting reading.)

No, I cannot imagine living in a world where a leader like Robertson (or
Falwell) makes the rules.
