I posted a loooong one two or three weeks back (http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=m:5:14634:133125). Basically, he's dead. He's probably been dead for days and the fight between his wife (money/power hungry woman that she is) and his government (who rules now and where's the money) is all that's keeping the news together. Of course, dead might mean brain dead, irreversible coma, etc. Point is, he's not coming back and each 'group' is trying to get all they can.
In the short run there will be blood. The various terrorist groups will stage more attacks to 'score' more 'points' and jockey into a stronger position of power. The politicals will do the same, but with words rather than bullets. The Imams are already starting with the accusations that Israel poisoned him. Each are trying to inflame at this point. The Palestinians will be in trouble as everyone will be gunning for everyone else to get on top. Arafat kept rivals apart and balanced. He also controlled the money. Without him, there will be blood in the streets and a ton of missing cash. Once it's all over, I'm hoping for a leader who can make peace. One who can make Palestinians accountable for their own people.
