I'd agree...to a point. While I feel that the government has the duty to tell us, even more than it is now. I dont feel it was necessary for Attorney General Ashcroft himself to hold a press conference right in the middle of the evening news to get the message out. That's a little overdoing it, if you ask me. So either the threat is very real and very serious (we will know in a few days...), or more than likely he is playing politics with the new Director of Homeland Security Mr. Whatsisface from Pennsylvania. The Attorney General is usually the chief law enforcement official for the entire country. With the new Homeland security office taking over whatever it is they are taking over, they are going to get all of the glory for any good news in this situation. So in the truest American tradition, Ashcroft is going to play the, whoever gets on television the most wins card.
On kind of a tangent, we got a call on a web site for a company that makes some device that they are selling to the Homeland Security department. A whole new government bureaucracy and it took less than a month to put the red tape in motion. We couldn't get rid of it now even if we tried. That's one way to get the public spending again in this economy. Just spend it for them. rant rant rant...blah blah blah jon Angel Stewart wrote: >*rolls eyes* > >Wait..didn't they say this two weeks ago?
