After seeing so many tricks and aids to help code with DreamWeaver MX, I have
been making a conscious effort to use the panels more effectively and not hand
code EVERYTHING.

I'm beginning to come around to what DreamWeaver can do, it has taken a year
and I still miss some features from Studio/Homesite that have not yet made it
into DreamWeaver. I'm happy that in the Sneak Peaks they showed some more
hopefully being included in the next release.

Anyways, I have found myself bouncing around the various panes a lot more as I
utilized their functionality. I was actually beginning to feel a bit
constrained that I wanted several open at once to their maximum size, but that
caused me to have to keep opening and closing various panes as I did my work.
If I tried to keep several of the most useful open at once, I found the pane
size to be rather limited.

So, I grabbed a panel and dragged it out of the working window, it now floated
free, cool but this did not do me much good since I have my DreamWeaver code
window maximized to full screen so there was nowhere to put the floating panel,
until I dragged to my second monitor. NOW, I had something. I could put all
the panels I want to work with, floating on the second monitor all opened to
their maximum size. Thus, I don't have to keep opening and closing and
rearranging them as I work. I think I'm going to really like this.

I suspect I'll keep playing with the order and placement until I get something
I really like. It's going to take a bit getting used to looking at the second
monitor and moving the mouse over there when I want to interact with a panel.
But I think that is going to be an acceptable trade off for me to not have to
be constantly fussing with the opening, closing and resizing of panels.

Thanks for listening to my gloating, but I thought I my find a more
appreciative audience here then my co-workers since there are only two
web-developers in our IS department and the other one left for the day already.
