Well, speaking as a photographer, stealing the camera is going way too far.

If it were one camera and lens and memory card then chances are you are
talking around 7k worth of equipment, in my personal opinion Diaz should
have been arrested and charged with theft.

If you add in the value of the pictures on the memory card you could be
talking upwards of 20k worth of stolen goods.

Assuming the photogs are telling the truth, that they maintained a
reasonable distance, then what Diaz and what's his face did was out of line.

Now having said all that, we should really place the blame on the people
paying for these pictures, the people - like my wife - who buy these sleazy
publications. Crap like People, US Weekly, New York Post, and other such
magazines. They are the ones who make the job available.
