Yes..you need to authenticate via Steam, and ti seems again on regular basis. People have reported problems with CounterStrike I believe and the 'authentication' steam, where you aren't allowed to play it 'offline' sometimes wihtout a net connection.Maybe they will have it all fixed, but in my view there is NO reason why I must regularly authenticate a damned game after the initial authentication.
