And then there are guys like you who are never satisfied. If they didn't warn us about the impending danger then you would criticize them for withholding vital information. If they do give us the information then they are engaging in scare tactics and sitting there twisting their mustaches, wringing their hands and watching the money roll in.
I don't think for a second that the 'politicians' are loving this. That's pretty over the top. They are just, if not more afraid, than many other people are because they have been directly targeted. Sen. Daschle was very close to getting infected himself. I'm no fan of Sen. Daschle but I would be heartbroken if he would have gotten infected and died from this. I may not agree with his politics, but I would not revel in the man's death. I have a great amount of respect for the fact that he's out there serving his country. Is the media going overboard? Yes. Is Fox more culpable than other channels? I think so. I'm not watching any of it because I know what the reality is, and I think that the media outlets are treating remote possibilities as probabilities and freaking people out. I think the Bush administration is doing as good a job as any. Are they doing everything right? No, but overall I think that they're doing a good job.
