Not sure if this is off-topic or not, hence the post to cf-community.

We are working with a potential client (RE organization) that would like to
use the IDX database to list homes in the area for sale. Thing is, I have
never worked with anything like this, but have a general knowledge of what
it does. Has anyone ever worked with it? Can you give me a general (50
words or less, LOL) idea of what it takes to get the info from the
database? Is one just given read access to the database, or is a web
service, XML file or what? Do you have to pay for it? Things like
that. Also, any trouble spots to know ahead of time would be nice.

Any insight would be appreciated!

THX,

Ray
