I can't cite any legit studies by any legit studies, but I think it's pretty clear that marijuana's primary adverse health issues require extended use over an extended period of time. Similar to cigarettes or alcohol. One cigarette won't give you lung cancer, one joint won't give you brain damage.
Another consideration. Different people have different reactions to different drugs. Morphine works great as a pain killer in an awful lot of situations....but has no pain alleviating affect on me, and makes me nauseous. If certain patients are found to respond most favorably to marijuana, over a relatively short amount of time (or extended time if the condition is terminal anyway), then why shouldn't a competent doctor be at his discretion to prescribe it? That being said, I doubt many competent doctors would find many occasions on which they'd prescribe marijuana. > Well, the problem is the evidence to contrary isn't very good from my > understanding? > > Is anybody aware of any legit studies by legit institutions that show that > smoking marijuana is more helpful than the problems it can cause. > > I still find it hard to blame this administration for laws that have been > around for some time now. > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:138023 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
