Yes and no. If you look at the Dems and their ability to close the gap for money raised, you will see a lot of the money has come from Wall St. The Journal did a report about this. Still, some of the biggest donors are Republican Wall Street vets. O'Neil, CEO of ML, is a huge Bush supporter. He was one of the first to reach Ranger status. I can't remember if the Journal stated that on a whole, Wall Street donated more to the Dem side or if it was really close. But the idea they put forward is that I-bankers and movie people share a common trait. They get wealthy before they get old and jaded and are more likely to vote Dems. The one area where it doesn't seem possible for the Repubs to catch up to the Dems is donations from institutions of higher learning. -- 2004 - The year $184M couldn't buy a pennant.
