Yeah - it's still kicking.  Even in places you might not expect.

We got, as a group, a big speech last year about "Enterprise Technology
Decisions" - in short WebSphere on AIX.  ColdFusion was, I quote, a "rust in
place" technology - no new money, only maintenance.

Then a coupla months ago we get a broadcast about a corporate initiative to
manage desktop software called "Distributed Application Services".  The
(internal) URL?  http://das/index.cfm.  ;^)

Since then I've heard of at least a few other new installations in various
business groups... but none in ours, unfortunately.

Still - after building CF apps for six years they're not all going away
anytime soon.  I think I'll be in maintenance work for at least another few
years.
