If it's a PocketPC, you're SOL. 

Personally, I don't like mail on the PocketPC anyway since I'm on so
many lists and keeping track of everything is insane. If I used IMAP
and only used Pocket Outlook via a wireless network it might be a
little different since Thunderbird and Pocket Outlook would probably
just each be peer IMAP clients instead of synching Pocket Outlook to
the desktop Outlook to get mail.
