you really can't beat that. To be fair, I should add that my own experience -- I think a four-month wait for a routine gyn appointment in London, after being told that I "shouldn't" need one, "a young girl like you"... are not at all recent.
I should also note that my father, once he had had a heart attack, decided he would rather move back to Britain. So reasonable minds may differ on this and it is hard to generalize from anecdote. However, I do subscribe to a couple of lists dealing with PE and thrombosis, and the British patients all seem to have considerable difficulty getting in to be seen. At least I have seen numerous rants to this effect.
