maybe I did not express myself well. What I am trying to say is not that that you are not an artist if you haven't sold x units, but rather that people who have not are more likely to be positively affected by file sharing ie to become better known than large name-band acts that are already getting top 40 play and for whom file-sharing represents the possibility or the likelihood of lost sales.
