there's an obscure bit of trivia...

similar to John Edwards being responsible for all our flu shots being
developed in 3rd world locations because the cost of fighting
litigation when someone gets the flu is too high compared to the net
income from developing and selling the vaccine locally... or so I've
heard.

frivolous lawsuit inspires reform in it industry... hmmm... :-/

granted... didn't we go through that recently with Eolas? Fortunately
I haven't heard anything about it recently, so I'm guessing the suit's
gone nowhere (other than publicity for Eolas).
