For example, we could disagree about legalizing drugs. I could say it will lower crime and taxes and cite studies to show this. You may disagree and cite your own studies. Since it's a policy question we'll never really know until we try it. Mr. Limbaugh on the other hand, would say that his position is correct because it's "conservative" and that the opposite view must be "liberal" and, therefore, wrong. That is, he uses name calling and demonization to try to prove a point rather than analysis. This type of approach appeals to those that don't understand, or don't wish to understand, the analysis or those that are pre-disposed to believing they are "good" and others are "bad"; which is, of course, arbitrary.
