Physical evidence like a crime scene with both of their blood and/or
witnesses or anything that links him to something involved in the
death - a knife, scratches, something only he'd have access too - just
something.

And then there's the motive - a decent motive would be helpful.  In
this case there isn't a plausible one that I've heard.  In many ways
it sounds like he had more to lose than gain.

Then there's all of the things that are odd - the person who saw Laci
walking after the time she would've needed to have disappeared, the
pregnant woman and dog that looked like Laci who'd had death threats,
Mr. Peterson's actions after the murder (why not go immediately to
mexico or into the country), etc.

Yes, you're right though - I definitely believe that it's better to
have a 100 guilty men go free than have an innocent man put to death.

If, however, it's a case like the Wisconsin hunting murders - skip the
appeals, he's guilty, give him the death penalty.
