Probably won't be helpful, but here goes:

Camtech seem to have nice hooks available for CF developers to use. I think
the Xilo camp wrote a CFX tag a while back that talks to the gateway. I've
not used it since, as most are now using SOAP to handle transactions.

I think I remember hearing QSI was coldfusion friendly, but not used that in
a while.

You could use LogiCommerce.com, I used to work for them so all code is
subject to breaking (lol). Not sure on their service (haven't used them in
quite some time) but I know the guys who run It are coldfusion developers.

I've heard bad things about Commbank but that could be based on ignorance
rather actuals.

St George bank seems to get a lot of CF work, but not sure if they have are
CFMX friendly.

Scott.

Matembe to fight 3rd term

By Patrick Munyani

PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni will not get a third term for the dismissal and
failure to recognise my contributions to the government, former ethics minister
Miria Matembe has said.

I worked for nearly four years to establish the integrity ministry to fight
corruption but all I got was a sacking. How can you sack a competent person? I
am going to do my best to deny him the kisanja (third term), Matembe said.

Matembe warned government officials to brace for the rainy moment when they
would be thrown out. She advised them to have a place to fall back to when
things go bad.

She said this at the Human Rights Network-Uganda anniversary celebrations at
the Nile Hotel, Kampala on Friday.

Matembe said the government was headed for dangerous times as human rights were
being violated.

Huge debt
Ugandas debt burden threatens to become unsustainable in spite of relief under
the Highly Indebted Poor Countries initiative.
The countrys deficit has also more than doubled. Keith Muhakanizi, the
director of economic affairs at the finance ministry, told a Uganda Law Reform
Commission business conference on Wednesday that the problem has resulted from
donor dependence to finance the fiscal deficit.

Corruption goes with govt Njuba

By George Bita

CHANGING the Government will reduce corruption, Forum for Democratic Change
(FDC) vice-chairman Sam Njuba has said.

Njuba said the Movement government had continuously highlighted the evils of
corruption but had failed to stop it. He was speaking on the Akwatulira
talk-show on NBS FM radio in Jinja town on Saturday.

He said when a government stays in power for long, it tends to forget its
promises to the people.
Only a new government would give credible promises of fighting corruption,
Njuba said.

Uganda does not need a soldier to lead her to success
Fred Kamwada

Fred Kamwada

The issue of leadership generates a lot of debate these days. With the old
parties scanning for whom to take over from their now octogenarian leaders,
some of whom have been at the helm of leadership for more than 40 years, the
new parties have been running up and down trying to sample their popularity via
the electronic and print media.

Not a bad debate at all. The only problem is that their choices zero in on
candidates with qualities which I find very unpalatable for the future of our
country.

On November 3, a local newspaper dedicated a whole pull-out to an exhaustive
campaign effort for retired maj gen Mugisha muntu. It dwelt on his strong
points and there was no problem with that. but what was rather remarkable was
their emphasis on his military background. I find it very misleading to spread
the myopic perception that only soldiers are capable of smoothly running the
affairs of this country.

It is also misleading to hype someones potential on the mere basis of his
being a soldier as if Uganda is a country of militants who cannot be governed
by a civilian. We are already progressing well in constitutional reform. For
instance one of the columnists wrote that muntu is one of the few soldiers who
can look museven in the eye. can you imagine that is being written now when the
rule of law and constitutionalism is taking root?

to suggest that muntu has the respect of all the soldiers leaves one with the
impression that the army leaders and not those of the country are due for
elections. But this is not about electing the army commander, which is a
constitutional obligation of the commander-in-chief. It is about making a
choice for someone to run a political organisation.

THis means people must compete for power. Secondly, by recommending Muntu on
the basis of his ability to look museven in the eye is to suggest that the
law of the jungle reigns supreme in Uganda. Is Uganda a country hawking wars so
that we need a soldier to keep us militarily supreme in the region? When shall
we wipe that war mentality from some peoples minds? At the moment the common
denominator of our challenges is poverty.

What we need is a leader with a grand design to deal with the fundamental
problems of ignorance and illiteracy, disease (especially AIDS ) and poverty.

Therefore the knowledge of the gun or military affairs is not goodenough for
someone to become a suitable candidate to lead our contry. It is ideas which
count.

We never had our own server to fully test with... we have had to fight
and scratch for every single bit we were able to do, from coding to
modeling to testing etc.... I've seen games with as high as 28 players
in them at the mod's highpoint.

What's the difference between "pppoa and pppoe"< I hve been trying to
set it up as per ahow to from "Lnux.Questions.org"
That says "no IP on the NIC that the system is using to get to ISP just
a valid HWADDA."

Your are right about doing your head in!

if you just have the modem and one pc on the same network 192.168.1.0/24
and using pppoa or pppoe on the modem
then yes, if your doing it with 2 lan cards
in one box, then something like this

modem 192.168.1.1

gateway eth0 192.168.1.254
gateway eth1 192.168.0.254

hub

other pcs in your lan 192.168.0.x

these pcs use eth1 as default route

gateway pc uses the modem as the default route

and the firewall will need to be adjusted to suit.
you should be able to see the modem with a browser from the pc's on your
lan.

one of my sons stopped nursing young, at 17 months, and everything we =
tried did not work until we did sensory exercises, which is why I =
suggested them. The rest nurse over two years, I nursed them to sleep, =
they easily fell asleep while I would tell them a bedtime story with the =
lights dimmed. The reason I suggested sensory exercises is the comment =
strong willed, they help calm children to prevent labeling by others, =
which is what I felt the dr. had done. Strong willed, imho anyways, =
usually indicates a very brilliant child, whos brain is much more =
advance than their communication skills. ml

If a child is that upset she probably has something wrong, sensory =
problems often cause sleep problems, too bad the doctor wanted you to =
wait it out, I think doing sensory exercise help a lot. ml

Thanks for the input, Renee, and welcome to the group. You were =
indeed lucky, and still are truly blessed. We actually did try that =
with Faith after coming upon the same problem. She cried so hard she =
threw up. It was horrible. I talked to the doctor, and he said that's =
ok, it's not harming her, just stick with the plan and eventually she'll =
come around. He was surprised she was such a strong-willed child, and =
told us that kind of behavior doesn't usually show up until around 18-24 =
months. That didn't sit too well with me, but we tried one more night, =
and that was all we could bear. Listening to her scream on the monitor =
and start choking, then running in the room to find her and the crib all =
full of puke was so horrible, and not worth it. I still wouldn't trade =
this for that, as miserable as this can be sometimes.

Hi, I'm pretty new to this list and this is my first time =
responding.
I, too, am still nursing my almost 8 month old son. He went =
through a
terrible sleep pattern where I would rock him to sleep and the =
second I
bent into a 45 degree angle to put him in his crib, he startled =
away and
would scream his head off. I think a few things led him to this
separation anxiety...1) When he wakes up around 5:00 am I bring =
him to
bed with me to nurse and then to go to sleep together. 2) We would =
rock
him to sleep every night. There was nothing we could do to get him =
to
not wake up and cry when placed in his crib. I know there aren't =
too
many fans of the cry-it-out method but since I knew he was not =
hungry,
sick, or had a dirty diaper, I had to do something to get to =
sleep. We
      started a bedtime routine...Change into pj's, feed, read 2 books, =
rock
for 100 rocks and then put in his crib. What we did was let him =
cry for
5 minutes and then check on him. We'd tell him it's okay, we love =
him
and to go to sleep. Then we'd wait another 10 minutes and go back =
in.
Then wait 15 minutes. The longest he ever cried was 30 minutes =
total.
Now, we put him in his crib and he's out in 30 seconds. And he =
doesn't
wake up until 5 or 6 am. It's bliss. I'm sure we were just lucky =
but I
thought I'd share in case it could help.=20

On a side note, if your baby is older he physically should be able =
to
sleep through the night (meaning 5 or 6) without getting hungry. =
But
      every baby's different, right?

ugg.... so you can't even try to adjust your schedule
to theirs... eekkk. My Mom says that Terri and I were
like a dual alarm clock! We were almost always
wanting the SAME thing at the SAME time. They left us
together for most of elementary school... we were
trouble if spareated. Middle school was the first
"alone time" we had. I remember being excited and
scared at the same time. Terri said that she was
scared to death for the first 2 months everyday..
until we would have a class together. By eightth
grade... we were switching classes.... LOL. But that
first semester of 6th we didn't see each other until
it was time to leave.... we DID NOT like it!

she'll come around. He was surprised she was such a =
strong-willed=20
child, and told us that kind of behavior doesn't usually show up =
until=20
around 18-24 months. That didn't sit too well with me, but we =
tried=20
one more night, and that was all we could bear. Listening to =
her=20
scream on the monitor and start choking, then running in the room to =
find=20
her and the crib all full of puke was so horrible, and not worth =
it. I=20
