I am building a website just to practice my .NET skills and would like to use the latest layout standards. I have always designed using tables and it's associated hacks. I think it's time to start using more modern techniques.
I read a few blog entries which totally discourage the use of tables. I imagine that the new way of doing this is with div tags. Now, I just need a little guidance here to see if I'm on the right track. Some links to good sites would help too. If I were to use the standard inverted L layout, I would use 3 DIVs and use positioning to lay them out? Or is using tables still acceptable practice for simple layouts? I await you comments. - Frank ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:141143 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
