Never mind, I finally found the FAQ which answered my question. For those who may be interested:
The DTA-310 has one phone jack that can support up to three phones. You could buy a multiple analog jack extension connector and plug it into the DTA-310 phone jack. This connector would allow you to use up to three phones on a single Packet8 line. Another alternative is to use a cordless phone system. These phone systems come with a base unit and extra handsets. The base station of the cordless phone plugs into the DTA-310. The extra handsets can then be placed anywhere in the house. You could also purchase wireless phone jacks. The base unit of the wireless phone jack system connects to the DTA-310 and the wireless jacks plug into your household electrical outlets. You might ask them about porting your existing number - I was able to port my numbers directly into Packet8's system. It takes some time to happen (about 6-8 weeks) but once it's done it's seamless.
