A default representing the time the record was inserted is not going to happen. 
If you have the latest release *and* you use the timestamp datatype you might 
be able to create something that looks somewhat like what you want, but the 
behaviour is so bizar / complex I am not even going to try to explain it, you 
will have to check the manual.
