It's finally becoming clearer to you how much the American people are
controlled by the Media, and how much the different Media Houses are
themselves controlled by various interests in the Government.

No self respecting media house should have capitulated to such demands
at all.

It is not about protecting information from the Terrorists...its about
controlling what people in America see and hear about this conflict.

You should see a pattern developing here, looking at the laws which were
passed, hearing the muffled and censored murmurings about the
efficiencey and worth of a bombing campaign in Afghanistan.

Things will never be the same after september 11th :-(

Does anyone else find it disgusting that at the governments request none

of the major US media outlets never said a word about exactly what Bin
Ladin said in his most recent letter? While watching the news over the
last few days, I had found it strange that while CNN mentioned the Bin
Ladin letter, they only broadcasted the White Houses response to it.
Then tonight while surfing the BBC web site, lo and behold there is the
complete transcript. The right below it a story that either didn't get a

lot of coverage (surprise...) or I totally missed, "US TV limits Bin
Laden coverage".
The first thing that popped into my head is the Benjamin Franklin quote
"They that can give up essential liberty for a little temporary saftey,
deserve neither liberty nor safety.". That's what the media has done
IMO, given up one of their, and by extension the American people's,
essential liberties.

What good does this to? The government says Bin Ladin might be hiding
secret messages in his letters so the TV stations shouldn't air them.
This is total BS, and they know it. If I can find it on the BBC web
site, so can the terrorists.

So why do it?
