Hey, don't misunderstand me - I have no misconceptions about the inner city - but like you said, just getting into the city from the burbs is too much of a nightmare for us. So we just don't go. If we don't have to. Traffic is too much.
If I *lived* in the city - of course it would be easy getting around. I used to hang out in the Village in NYC and frequently spent the night at a friends in town. It was ALWAYS easy, or seemed to be to me, to get around to where I needed to, without ever having to get in a car.
