Yes ok. It's time for a review. It's 2005 now ...

More and more people are using these things ... So I think a big write
up is needed.
Does anyone know of an article or site that reviews all these HTML edit
thingies, paid or free, and ultimately says which one is the best to
use?

Right out of the box, or with integrating it and playing with it's API
if it has one?

We use ActivEdit, but an old open source version (bought and paid for).
We've changed it so much though, it's near impossible to upgrade without
a significant time investment, but we'd switch to a free version if a
free version came close to the features of ActivEdit.

Things to look for:

Browser Compatibilty
Style sheet integration
HTML code edit view
Insertion of pictures
Browser Compatibilty
WYSIWYG
Browser Compatibilty
Browser Compatibilty

And did I mention
Browser Compatibilty?

Anyone have any thoughts?

Cheers,
Erika
