Kind of suprised only 2. There used to be 3 good gaming shops in
Northern NJ when I was in HS. Two of them were well established. The
3rd was very new run by a bunch of irresponsible guys that liked to play
games. That place was like the Wild Wild West of gaming. I loved it
there. I bought my first pack of Magic Cards (First Edition, Beta
there). We used to have these ridicules decks and play for cut ante.
We are talking about decks with all double lands and at least 2 of each
moxes and about 3 Black Lotus each. We still played that way even
after tournament rules came out. The one thing that sucked is the owners
would order Magic cards and then they would take about 75% of the
merchandise for their personal use. I guess that is why they went under.
