I've used my PocketPC for this purpose and it works well, but you do have to be fairly close (for example lying the unit on the podium while speaking). Of course at a CFUG or other venue like that you might just add a cheap boom mic to the demo PC and do that (and you'll probably get better quality to boot). Voice recording (at voice quality) requires very little resources - it should be possible to just do it in the background and still demo-away. I've not used dedicated recorders or MP3 player/recorder combos (again, the PocketPC does all that) but CompGeeks.com always a good selection of older model players/recorders at good prices: http://www.geeks.com/products.asp?cat=MP3 They've actually got a 256Meg MP3/WMA player/FM Tuner/Voice Recorder/Flashlight for 80$... that's a lot of function for something the size of a lighter. ;^) Jim Davis ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Purchase Flash MX Pro from House of Fusion, a Macromedia Authorized Affiliate and support the CF community. http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=57 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:142467 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
