Congradulations.  There was only one flaw in your plan:  Getting the 
thing fixed.  Had you not, no one would have ever suspected your plot. 
But no, you had to go and gloat to the chimney guys.

Seriously?  I'm glad you caught it.  We used to heat with a wood burning 
stove in the basement, and we had CO/Radon combo detectors (we lived in 
a radon-happy area) and smoke detectors left and right.  Safety first!

Now back to your regularly scheduled after-school special....
