Check out Sam's Club (or Costco / BJs). While not on the Sam's Club website, they have had some L Desks there for reasonable (in the $150 range). I've been drooling over a U shaped desk there for a bit..
Also watch the sales, from OfficeMax, Staples, and Office Depot. I was able to get a desk; I think this one: http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/Sku.asp?PageType=1&Sku=430270 For ~$75 on sale. It was one of the best deals that I've ever got. As an aside, I really like the O'Sullivan products.
