I'm interest in this as well. The last two phones we've had (one from ATT and the other from VTech) were both obviously based on the same reference design (same software exactly) but within a year both of them, on both handsets (so four handsets altogether) lost the ability to press "1".
Seems way too coincidental to me. I need a multi handset base station with a speaker phone (for the office) with mute but NO answering machine (we've got voice mail). Any recommendations/links?
