This is the UK remember, you can often translate $ directly to � on CDs/DVDs and electrical equipment as we seem to get ripped off on them :(
Some stuff is very cheap over here, but renting DVDs isn't one of them - even just going to the shop and getting one DVD out for the night will probably cost you �3-5.
