::yawn:: I can't say it's clear as day. But possibly he felt like he was a sovereign nation and so he did not owe an explanation to anyone. How would I know who he hated or why? He was a megalomaniac and all around bad guy sure. Possibly foolish enough to think that since the US help put him into power it would not move against him, who knows?
I'm glad we can deal with the fact that you thought he had them. I am not up for deconstructing any more old posts. All that was intended was some gentle (ok, sarcastic) ribbing at your expense. As for the massacres... yup, ten-twelve years later we sure did ride to the rescue. Was there any evidence at all that he was planning more? I suspect that we have no information, simply because the question was not asked before the invasion. Even assuming the best intentions in the world I look at Fallujah and think that there's a reason why doctors swear to first do no harm.
