Too bad neither apply here. :-/ We don't use the motion sensors here either: cats that are allowed to stamped around the house like wild bull elephants and climb the walls at night prevent the use of those.
We have a loose window I think from the cold/dry temps and the sensors aren't meeting up properly. We lucked out in this house that EVERY SINGLE window and door was wired with expensive contact sensors when the house was built.
