The question with racism is where does it start and where does it end? That is, I think humans are pre-wired to discriminate based on looks; that doesn't mean race, but it does mean looks. For example: 1.) Aren't there people that dress decent, etc., but you just don't like the look of? 2.) Do you discriminate against overweight people? Even if you are yourself! 3.) Which stranger do you instantly fear more? Black, white, Hispanic, Asian? The point is, everybody will take a dislike to somebody for some reason or other, but some people allow it to hinder them while others don't. Look at Asians or Hispanics - they are constantly discriminated against, yet they succeed at higher percentages than blacks (measured by college admissions and drop out rates). Why? That's not to say that there aren't injustices, but move on and come back to them later- some people seem to just want a fight. (Remember the Simpson's episode when Lisa joins the football team because she loves the game only to find out there are already girls on the team? She quits because there's no controversy.) rambling, but you get the point. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:144244 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
