So those said schools are only targeting black students? They don't
target Latinos?

But if there are others, then your whole notion of AA crumbles. The
specific answer you gave Gel was, " the theory I believe was that due to
racism blacks were not meeting admission criteria." You also agreed
with Micheal D that AA is racist because it helps one group over another
based on race.

Do I think those that don't support AA are racist? No. You may choose
not to support it because you feel the system is flawed or inadequate.
In that case, suggesting a viable option might be useful. You may
choose not to support it because AA negatively impacts yourself. I
can't really blame anyone for looking out for themselves. I do have
issues with people that will not support AA because they think doing so
is racist or promotes racism. There is a huge difference between not
participating in and denouncing a program. This is like telling a
starving kid, "I can't give you this steak I'm eating because it's bad
for your health. It has a lot of fat." AA is not a racism because race
is only one factor. Gender is another factor used. AA is not racism
because racism is when a group in power excludes a group not in power
based on race. The students getting in via AA are not in power. If
racism was merely policy based on race, then every ethnic scholarship
would be an act of racism. That scholarship Maria Cortez won from
Senior Vargas' BMW dealership for being the Latino American with the
highest GPA in her school district? Racism because it excludes all the
white students. Can you sit there and tell me that scholarship is racism?
