When I bought my latest laptop, I also bought a support pack. This text is copied directly from the support pack:
"The turn around time is 3-business days, which is measured from the time of logging the call to delivering the repaired unit to the customer." What would your translation of this be? If I made the support call on Friday (1/28/05), when should I have the machine back? Feel free to answer for yourself before reading on. One translation might be that 3 business days from the time of making the call (Friday) would be today (Tuesday). I should receive the machine back today. I would be willing to accept a door-to-door turn around. (They pick it up on Monday, so returning it on Wednesday is fine). I did call late in the day on Friday, so a receiving it by end of day Wednesday seems fair to me. HP support just told me a handful of frustrating things, such as: a) Saturday and Sunday don't count as business days. ( I counted the business days for them). b) It is a 3 days after they receive the machine. Normal turn-around is 7-10 business days. ( Why'd I pay extra for a support pack then?) I was able to get them to put a rush on it. Of course, I'm not sure why I had to.
