Steph-

traditional salaried work-week is called 5/40 - 5 days, 40 hours worked.
(This does not apply to self-employed folks who work 24/7 !)

9/80 schedule says 9 days, 80 hours worked.
Mon. - Thurs. = 9 hours a day.
every other Fri. = 8 hours.
every other Fri. = scheduled day off.

Has a few wrinkles - my supervisor and I are the only 2 applications geeks,
so we can't have the same days off. So we may have to "punt" around
vacations and stuff. And communications are a little wierd.

But heck if somebody really needs to talk to me I'm not gonna get p.o.'d if
they page or phone...

But by and large it's becoming real neat having a 3-day weekend every other
week.
(And when there's a Monday holiday and you have Friday off, it's a 4-day
weekend!)

Eri*K*a,

I'm at work, trying (sorta) to make this a productive three-day work week.
We had Monday off for Veteran's Day.
And Friday will be my scheduled 9/80 day off.
So much work, so few days <sigh>.
But gotta take a few minutes to say "hi" to all the nice folks on the list
:-)
"HI!"

-Ben
Looking forward to Thanksgiving where President Todd spares the national
turkey, so it's a better tomorrow for the turkey but not for us 'cause we
don't get to eat it <whine>

here I am up to my eyeballs in stupid silly tasks, servers having issues,
boring code to maintain, and other such work that
won't cooperate .... looking for that occasional community mail to at least
make me smile, and all of you take a holiday!

WHERE IS EVERYONE!!!!
