Personally I don't play the GBA much (it's my son - and he loves it). I
find the SP way too small to hold comfortably (any game that uses the
shoulder buttons constantly can my wrists cramping in less than 10 minutes).

However I will play using the GBA Adapter for GameCube when a game comes out
that attracts my interest (like Chain of Memories).

I think that the PSP will make for a much more attractive platform for such
games. You have much, MUCH more storage on the UMD compared to a cartridge
so you should be able to have full speech. Also the much larger, sharper
screen should make text-heavy games like RPGs much more comfortable.

This has always been my problem with the GBA and my son. They've got tons
and tons of kids games, but they all tend to suck in at least one specific
way: too much reading. We bought a "Dora the Explorer" game aiming at 4-5
year olds. The game begins with twelve pages of dense text and much of the
game requires competent reading to complete it.

My son is starting to read well enough to play some of the games, but he's
six now and the games that he can read are to young for him. He now wants
to play "the Incredibles" and "Spiderman" but has trouble because so much of
the games require reading.

I hope the PSP becomes enough of a success to have some good kids games.
