My computer keeps beepeing at me at seemingly random intervals, and I
can not figure out why. No other message is associated with the sound.

It is a four tone sound, two down scale then two up scale sometimes with
a few moments pause between the sets. I tried listening to all the
sounds in the sound control of the control pannel. It is possible that
is is incoming mail, but I can not actually corelate it with arriving
messages. It is also possiblly sound associate with the engaging and
disengaging of my removeable media drives, but I am definatly not doing
anything with them when the sounds occure. It is driving my bonkers and
I would really like to know what they mean..

Other then that I am going bonkers; that is well known and most likely
irreversable.
