For the past few weeks I've been listening to my podcasts during my
drive to and from work which is an hour each way. It helps me not
listen to the news and get upset (about the idiotic policies of our
administration). Anyway, I listen to the Adam Curry Show and a couple
of other fluff shows. Mixed in there are some informative shows like
DotNet Rocks! and LinuxQuestions and Linux Link Tech Show. This is a
great way to use the dead time. I'm actually learning
something......But, I realized there's no ColdFusion shows.

How cool would that be to have a ColdFusion tech show to listen to on
your commute. I realize that the fan base wouldn't be near .Net's
base, but I think it might be possible to put something together.
Actually, it would be really cool if Macromedia might jump on the
podcasting bandwagon, but that's another story. I think at this point,
podcasting would be too much work for 1 person. What I was thinking
though is for User groups to start audio recording their presentations
and then we could have a podcasting site that would post new
presentations every week or so. Does anyone already record their
presentations?

Hal and Jeff had it right when they recorded their conversations and
then posted them. I know I downloaded them and listened to them
several times in my car. Just think how cool it would be to hear Ben
Forta, Sean Corfield, Hal Helms, Ben Edwards, or anyone who might have
something insightful or informative about ColdFusion playing on your
mp3 player.

I know everybody and their brother has a blog nowadays. Sometimes,
the last thing I want to do when I get home at night is turn on
another computer and the last time I checked, operating a laptop from
the front seat of my truck while cruising 65mph was illegal. So,
podcasting could be a real boon to my and your productivity. I'd be
perfectly willing to set up the infrastructure, what I'd need to know
is whether or not people would want this and if they'd want to
participate. I myself have never done a presentation, but I might be
good for a subject or two. I usually like to defer to people who seem
more informed on the subjects that me:)

Okay, so any takers?
