It is not your fault... not directly at least.  I have a client that has 
the same setup and the company they're hosting through canceled any and 
all forwarding to AOL accounts because AOL kept reporting the host's 
mail server as the source of spam because it was forwarding spam through 
to AOL.

My solution was to get him access to his account through webmail and 
it's working fine now.

Now as to who is to blame - AOL has been trying to crack down on spam, 
however because of the way some hosts forward messages AOL is not 
looking at the original sender of the message, they're just seeing the 
last hop in the forward.
