Well - the cans are from the 30's and 40's.  So if it were earlier enough it
might predate the Nazi party (which, I think, began in 1933 or 1935).

I can't see it clearly enough in the picture to tell what it looks like.
But it could be.

The symbol itself is ancient and pops up all over the place - I think we had
a discussion here a short while ago, didn't we?  Something about lampposts
in Seattle or San Francisco?
