Welp, after another day spent cleaning my computer of spyware, I am now able to use IE again, not that I really want to, I am a FF convert, but... I want to be *able* to.
However, somehow in the process I lost my start menu. When I click start, I get New Office Document, Open Office Document, Set Program Access and Defaults, Windows Update, Winzip and PeoplePC. Period. Not very useful if I want Adobe Illustrator say. If I right click the Start button I get Open All Users as an option and after bunches of clicks can get where I want but its sooooo Windows 3.1..... Does anyone perchance know which registry key this would be? Or have a suggestion as to how to undo? W2k Pro. The particularly evil spyware I removed was the Elite toobar, if that tells anyone anything.
