Yes, but at a restaurant you're paying to be served, to sit in their
ambiance with their customers, and to use their glassware which then
has to be washed and stored.  Certainly a corkage fee should vary
depending on the degree to which you value these things, but if you
don't value them then why are you eating there?  If you do value them
then support it by paying for it.  $5 - $10 is not much to ask for!

Now there are a few places that charge outrageous amounts to
discourage the practice, and those establishments should be avoided. 
There are probably 3 types of places:

1.) Premium restaurants that plan their wines around their foods. 
Don't bring your own here, at least for meals.  Let the chef tell you
what he thinks.

2.) More casual dining where the food is good, the atmosphere is good,
and the wine just helps.  Pay the $5 - $10 to support it.

3.) Pseudo - gourmet restaurants that use microwaves and try to gouge
you for wine and food.  You shouldn't be that anyway!
