I'd definitely consider wearing them at night and taking them off
during the day for "breaks." My wrist pain only flares up due to
sleeping with my wrists curled in. If I wear the braces at night for a
week or so I'm vastly improved.

And, personally, I'd try something like acupuncture before I'd go with
a steroid injection. Of course, that's because my one experience with
a steroid injection (in my hip) was a total nightmare that left me in
much more pain for about 3 months.
