GB went to HBS, though. I don't know Mr. Ballmer, but I don't see any genius in his business strategy - in fact I see a string of failures. > 2. Ballmer is still the CEO of the world's largest software company. Mmm depends on what "run the company" means. I doubt Mr. Gates is out of that business. For example look at Dell: Mr. Dell picked a CEO who had proven himself as a business leader before he ever knew Mr. Dell, and then at Dell as a counsultant. Even so, it's widely known they are "co-CEOs". > 3. I never had any money in MS. Never had to pull it out. BG is still the > world's richest guy (excepting the Sultan of Brunei I think). Wealth doesn't equate to wise businessman unless that wealth was created via a variety of projects. For example consider Vulcan. > 4. .NET is by far more widely used than CF. > All true, but these products were created and sold as, let's cut the BS, M$'s attempt to extend their desktop monopoly to the web. It's never happened. That is, they can't figure out how to recreate their desktop success which, when you consider it, doesn't look like much more than the best alternative rather than a truly clever or breakthrough product. For example, consider Google's products; they're breakthrough and steal market share on the basis of their design, not on the basis of an existing monopoly. Sears used to be the world's biggest, unbeatable retailer, too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:151546 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
